Make-up for a wedding at Burrows Lea Country House in Surrey
“I felt absolutely gorgeous! Catherine listened to what I wanted and created a look that made me feel like myself but at my very best. She was professional to deal with, friendly and a super calm presence on the wedding morning. I would not hesitate to recommend her to any other brides in the area” – Cathryn Kay
Cathryn got married at the beautiful venue of Burrows Lea Country House in the Surrey countryside:

Situated just outside the beautiful village of Shere in the heart of the Surrey Hills, not far from Guildford and Dorking, Burrows Lea is the perfect venue for a summer wedding, as it has grand outdoor marquee and a stunning rose garden with a pond running through it.

Cathryn wanted a more glamorous make-up look for her wedding day, to complement her vintage hair style by my colleague Lucy at Hair That Turns Heads. I began by using NYX Shine Killer primer on her t-zone, as she mentioned at her trial that she sometimes gets oily there, followed by Charlotte Tilbury Light Wonder foundation in the shade ‘2 Fair’, and a little Clarins Instant Concealer under her eyes. I then set everything with Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Powder and some light bronzing powder to warm and sculpt her face.
I used Liz Earle blusher in the shade ‘Camellia’, which is a delicate peachy-pink shade to warm her cheeks, and Laura Mercier highlighter for all-over radiance. I used a subtle rose-gold shadow on her lids, and Ardell lashes to give her eyes extra definition and make them look bigger.
Finally, I applied Charlotte Tilbury lipliner in the shade ‘Bond Girl’, a deep berry pink which complemented her dress perfectly.
