Make-up and hair styling for a glamorous wedding reception at Brooklands Hotel
The lovely Nicole got married at Brooklands Hotel, near Weybridge in Surrey: https://www.brooklandshotelsurrey.com/
Brooklands Hotel is an ultra modern, luxury four star hotel with a range of stylish and versatile event spaces to choose from for your wedding. It features contemporary architecture, art deco-inspired interiors, award-winning dining, and all the mod cons you can imagine, including a spa with an outside hydrotherapy hot tub overlooking the race track.
Nicole’s wedding day was captured by Surrey wedding photographer Michelle Moradi: http://www.michellemoradi.com/
For Nicole’s make-up, I began by applying Clarins Instant Smooth primer, followed by Liz Earle Sheer Skin Tint in ‘Bare 01’ for a dewy finish to her porcelain skin. I then dusted on Liz Earle blusher in ‘Camellia’, which is neutral pale peachy-pink.
To bring out her beautiful green eyes, I created a soft brown smoky eye using the shades ‘Triple Fudge’ and ‘Amaretto’ from my much-loved Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette, followed by a flick of black liquid eyeliner and Ardell false lashes in no. 110, to emphasize her eyes.
Nicole tried out a number of lip colours at her trial, but on the day of her wedding she was feeling bold and went for a deep pinky-red to go with her slightly retro/vintage gown – I used RMS Beauty lipstick in ‘Jezebel’.
I curled Nicole’s hair on a large wand and left it to cool while I did her make-up (as you can see in the photograph). I then combed it out gently with a paddle brush, before pinning it in place at the nape of her neck and inserting her art deco style comb on the other side of her head.
