Bridal make-up for a wedding at Nonsuch Mansion in Cheam, Surrey
Gorgeous bride Ella had a classically elegant wedding at top Surrey wedding venue Nonsuch Mansion: http://www.nonsuchmansion.com/
Nonsuch Mansion has some wonderful history (standing close to the site of Henry VIII’s infamous Nonsuch Palace) and it only hosts one wedding per day, so you get exclusive hire of the venue. The Orchid Room features a striking fireplace, stunning stained glass window backdrop and a triple bay window, plus space for an extra long aisle, and is suitable for up to 120 guests.
For many centuries, all that remained of the palace were ruins, memories and the name – Nonsuch. The unusual name derives from the old English language – as Henry VIII said, there is “nonsuch place to rival its beauty and magnificence”. Under the reign of George III, a series of wealthy families built their mansion homes within the park, evolving it over time into the fabulous Grade-II listed building that you see today.
Ella’s wedding was captured beautifully by Surrey wedding photographer Ian Baker: https://www.ianbakerphotography.com/
I first applied NYX Shine Killer on Ella’s t-zone, as she mentioned that she tends to get shiny in that area, before buffing in Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation in shade no. 3 with a Zoeva 102 Silk Finish foundation brush. I then applied Benefit Boi-ing Concealer in shade no. 2 where needed.
I then warmed her skin using Benefit Hoola Lite bronzing powder and a matte pink blusher, before dusting the golden highlighter from the Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow duo to bring out her high cheekbones.
I used the rose gold shades from Charlotte Tilbury’s iconic ‘Pillow Talk’ eye shadow palette on Ella’s lids, before applying a darker chocolate brown eye shadow at the outer corners, lash extensions, and a fine flick of black liquid eyeliner to emphasize her pretty brown eyes.
Finally, I applied Charlotte Tilbury lipliner in ‘Supersize Me’ and her Matte Revolution lipstick in ‘Pillow Talk’ for a natural-looking tawny pink lip.
