Bridal make-up and hair styling for a wedding in Purley
Here is my gorgeous bride Amanda, checking out her finished bridal look in the mirror for the first time, before heading to her wedding at Woldingham School in Surrey. This image was captured by the brilliant wedding photographer Andy Sidders: https://www.andysiddersphotography.co.uk/
Amanda wanted a natural-looking but also quite enhanced look for her wedding day, so I created a very soft smoky eye for her, using Too Faced eyeshadow in ‘Amaretto’, then black gel eyeliner and some lightweight Ardell false lashes to elongate and add emphasis to her lovely brown eyes.
For Amanda’s skin, I used Charlotte Tilbury Light Wonder foundation in the shade ‘Fair 2’ and Tarte Shape Tape concealer to hide some dark shadows that she had under her eyes.
I then set everything with Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish face powder in ‘Fair 1’, followed by Benefit Hoola Lite bronzer to warm her skin tone and a peachy blusher to add a glow to her cheeks.
Finally, I applied a lipstick was called ‘Italian Rose’ by Bobbi Brown, which is a warm deep browny-pink.
Amanda’s hair is naturally very fine, so curled her hair on rollers first to add lift, before backcombing her crown for extra volume, and then pinning her hair into a soft bun at the nape of her neck, leaving some loose tendrils for a romantic vibe.
