Bridal make-up for a wedding at The Ravenswood

On a warm Spring day in March, Katie got married at top Sussex wedding venue The Ravenswood, which is near to East Grinstead in west Sussex: https://theravenswood.co.uk/

The Ravenswood is a beautiful 15th Century manor house set in eighteen 18 acres of gardens and woodland which are perfect for lots of outdoor wedding photo opportunities.

It has three different indoor spaces where you can have a civil ceremony for up to 150 guests and an evening reception for up to 300 guests, and a pretty mini ‘castle’ for outdoor ceremonies if you are lucky with the weather! There’s also a spacious getting ready room where the bride can get ready with her friends and family, and 33 bedrooms for guests to stay in.

Katie is wearing the very beautiful ‘Harlem’ tulle wedding gown by Maggie Sottero, and she and her husband are captured here just after their ceremony in a whirl of confetti by top Surrey wedding photographers Matt and Brenda Foden: https://fodenphotography.com/

My colleague Julia at Not Another Stylist created a soft half up do with natural waves for Katie, and I complimented this with what I call an ‘elevated natural’ bridal make-up look, using warm browns from the Natasha Denona ‘Biba’ palette on her eyes, a soft peach blusher on her cheeks, and Lancome lipstick in ‘Mademoiselle Amanda’ which is a deeper pinky nude shade.
