Bridal hair and make-up for a wedding at The Asylum Chapel in East London
Rosanna’s glam and colourful summer wedding was held at the Asylum Chapel in Peckham in East London: http://maverickprojects.co.uk/
This beautiful, dark old chapel was bombed in World War II is longer used for religious services but it certainly has a spiritual atmosphere when you visit. Its slightly battered and faded grandeur really comes to life when it is lit up with candles and adorned with flowers, making it very popular for London brides who want a cool venue with a bohemian vibe.
To create Rosanna’s bridal make-up look, I applied Clarins Instant Smooth Primer to create a blurring effect on the skin, and then the classic Giorgio Armani Lumonous Silk foundation in ‘5’ to even out her skin tone, set with the Huda Beauty Easy Bake loose setting powder. I then warmed up her face with the Dior Forever Bronze bronzing powder in ‘4N’ to give her skin a subtle summer glow.
I then applied Clinique Cheek Pop blusher in ‘Melon Pop’, as this shade is ideal for giving a peachy bloom to fair skin tones.
I applied a shimmering champagne all over her lids, and then lined her eyes with a dark brown liquid eyeliner for definition, set and softened with some dark brown eyeshadow.
Finally, I applied NARS Audacious Lipstick in ‘Raquel’ which is a creamy neutral peachy-pink is ideal for blondes!
Rosanna wanted a classic Hollywood wave, so I curled her hair using a tong and pinned it to set, before brushing it out gently with some hair balm.
