Bridal hair and make-up for a wedding at Clapton Country Club in East London

Charlotte had a fun and stylish Winter wedding at Clapton Country Club, a cool wedding venue in Clapton in East London: https://www.claptoncountryclub.co.uk/

At Clapton Country Club, you can celebrate your marriage in authentic urban, yet glamorous, surrounding, with a seating capacity of up to 140 guests. Their kitchen creates great food with a strong ethos of organic and sustainable food and wine. Clapton Country Club was originally built as a wedding venue for the owners, so they really go to the extra mile to ensure your big day is the best ever!

Charlotte didn’t want to wear a traditional wedding dress, so she wore a cream satin co-ord by Shrimps, and her bridesmaids wore green as this is an ideal complemtary colour for Winter weddings (NB. Her bridesmaids’ hair styling was done by my colleague Juancy, who I often work with on London weddings).

To create Charlotte’s bridal make-up look, I applied Giorgio Armani foundation in shade no. 5 to even out her skin tone, and a little Charlotte Tilbury ‘Beautiful Skin’ concealer in shade 4.5 to hide any shadows under her eyes, before setting her base with the Huda Beauty Easy Bake loose setting powder in the shade ‘Pound Cake’.

I then warmed up her face with the Too Faced bronzer in ‘Milk Chocolate’, which is a light neutral bonzing powder ideal for blondes, and the Laura Mercier blushers in a mix of ‘Strawberry’ (soft pink) and ‘Bellini’ (warm peach).

I applied the soft champagne and warm taupe shades from the Charlotte Tilbury ‘Exaggereyes’ eyeshadow palette on Charlotte’s lids, then defined her eyes softly with dark brown eyeshadow, followed by two coats of waterproof mascara.

To create her bold red lip, I applied the Charlotte Tilbury lip pencil in ‘Kiss N Tell’ to define her lips sharply, topped with Lisa Eldridge lipstick in ‘Velvet Ribbon’, mixed with a little Tom Ford lipstick in ‘Wild Ginger’ to create a custom red lip which was perfect for her skin tone.

Charlotte has very fine, silky shoulder length hair which she wanted in a up do to complement her pearl headband, so I created a soft up do for her using some hair padding and hair extensions, to create the illusion of more volume.
